I love this little item, my teacher was a bit sceptical to the idea of it, saying that sometimes they dont match up to the notes played but this has been working perfectly and in tune.
It looks perfectly OK as the plastic is seethrough, so just the colored lines are visible.
protip : the side's of the plastic loosened quite easily so i cut off the sides,(along the black lines) so that its attached only to the top of the neck.
I have not removed it yet so i can not say anything on the removal of it, but it doesnt seem "too" sticky. It didnt feel like tape or any strong adhesive, but also doesnt move around after applying it.

Rather hard to put on at the exact spot and unless you have the bridge at the exact correct position the intonation will be bad so I wouldn't really count on it.
Although it's good for the absolute beginner to even get started with the finger positioning to get a clue about where to put your fingers abouts.

Perfekt hjälpmedel för nybörjaren
Jag sysslar en del med musik på fritiden och köpte min första fiol för några månader sedan. Jag är självlärd när det gäller keyboard och gitarr, och har inte haft tiden eller ambitionen till att gå kurser eller anlita privatlärare för att lära mig spela.
Jag fick tips om att denna skulle kunna vara ett bra hjälpmedel för mig och hjälpa mig att hitta tonerna på fiolen. Då jag spelar andra instrument och har ett hyfsat gehör så kände jag att jag först skulle behöva lära mig hantera stråken och hålla fiolen, och sedan lära mig var tonerna sitter på fiolen.

Makes everything easier.
A bit expensive for a sticker, but kind of worth it. Makes learning the violin so much easier.

Helps!
As a beginner to the violin, I was warned about practicing without these because if you ruin your intonation from the start then you will get used to the wrong sounds and wrong muscle memory will get into place! I prefer these as they are right on and don't require measuring. They are easy to remove and just require a bit of wood oil after removing to remove that sticky residue remaining on the fingerboard.
If you are new to the violin then this is a must, and no, you can't just hear notes on the fly since you need muscle memory first :)

Bought this with my first ever electric violin.
I think it is very useful to have SOME indication where the default finger positions are, so you arent completely in the blind as a beginner.
But i quickly removed it again because the glue on the edges didnt stick so it kept interfering with my hand on the side of the neck.
Also its a bit "too" visible and vibrant.
A more subtle silver color only on all positions would be nicer.
And thinner so it doesnt need to bend around the neck and fray loose.
