Super pickup!
Ok, I admit, the first time I ordered these I was searching for the old Yngwie sound heard on his earlier albums. Now that I'm both old and by and large no longer THAT impressed by Mr Malmsteens antics I found my OWN sound and style through the use of these pickups.
They are milder than classic single coils, a bit lower in output, extremely detailed and hum cancelling. They are also extremely unforgiving even in high-gain use - EVERYTHING will be heard clearly so forget about "hiding behind distorsion".
That's is just the thing with these pickups; their unforgiving, detailed sound inspire you to really play your best and that's a good thing! When you play your best they will be your best friend and will deliver. Days when you're unable to play well (you know THOSE days...) they will probably be your worst enemy 😆

Best strat pickup??
If you want a vintage strat tone - but quiet (low noice), fat sound and more sustain, i really can recommend this pickup. I use this in all positions and are in my opinion, the best stratpickup ever made!

These has an amazing tone and I can really understand why Ynwie Malmsteen used them and why there is a YJM Signature series based on them.

It´s exactly what I wanted, it´s the Yngwie-sound. It´s the best single/humbucker for me.
