David Gage The Realist Soundclip Bass

I have used this pickup for about 6 months and have not really made friends with it yet although I'm warming to it.
At times it delivers a great acoustic sound and at other times it's just clonky...

Since I changed to a GK amp a couple of months ago it's been way better than before and after I started to place a very thin piece of felted wool between the copper element and the wood some of the harshness has disappeared. Although this effects my volume so I will have to start experimenting with a preamp.

The pickup is very easy to place and there is tons of possibilities. Although quite pricey it's a very well made pick-up and will probably perform excellently in the right hands.
