I am fairly new to the baritone, but I have played tenor for several years. The Rico 'Orange Box' are among my favourite for tenor (strength 2.5, with a Gaia IV 7* mouthpiece). So for baritone I first tried them with a strength 2.0 for caution, also as my mouthpiece is an 8 (Theo Wanne Essential Jazz). I found them too soft and wore out really fast. The 2.5 were a bit better, but now I find the 3.0 much better and they last a lot longer. For fairness, I have to say that I have not tried other models/brands, so I cannot really make comparisons. However, per read the box of 10 is the cheapest one can get for baritone (same for Rico Royal) and for that price they are seriously 'competitive'.
