Works well for cello
I'm using this for my cello, by just clamping it to the bridge. As one might expect, that has about the same effect on the sound as a light mute, so I have to remove it after tuning, but it's very easy to attach and remove, so that's not a problem.

Great little cheap tuner
I've used it on both acoustic and electric guitars and I find it with good quality, easy to use and you get accurate tuning.
