A super product for my home studio

I bought four of these "sorbers" and also two extra top sections to add a little height. The panels fold together easily and packs up against the wall when not in use. They are easy handle and the finish is a sober grey, they actually double up as a neutral background for video recording too. Putting three panels in a half circle around the microphone and artist and the fourth panel as a roof on top of the others, the room acoustics are effectively reduced on the recordings, and it also reduces some of the noise that would otherwise reach my neighbours. The recordings get dry, free from room acoustics and i am free to add any reverb or echo later in the mix. This is an excellent alternative to glueing lots of acoustic material to the walls and the ceiling. Setting these sorbers up is a matter of a four minutes and they drastically improve the sound of the recordings.

I have two of this exact size - both are used in my vocal/recording booth (in combination with two S2466 in the ceiling and a wall-mounted mattress) to create a very dead space for vocal recording. Since they are so easy to move around, one is mostly placed behind be to deaden reflections from the rear wall in the control room when not needed in the vocal booth.
I considered DYI for a long time, but eventually decided to buy when I came across thes ones as they don't need a frame and thus are the lightest and most convenient solution possible. And they look great.

2 of these will make a big difference to your room

I bought a second one of these absorbers after being very pleased with the first one. I use these for both recording guitars and vocals and use them as sound treatment in the corners during mixing, as like many others my room serves as both the tracking room and mixing room.

2 of these are capable of completely surrounding a vocalist during recording and partly when recording acoustic guitars. Being portable you can easily experiment with the best placements for your rooms acoustics.

Processed and arrived fast in perfect condition thanks to the awesome DHL people doing all the heavy lifting!

Overall a massive improvement to your room and recordings will be very evident.

very practical

wall looks great, dampens mid sound very good. i bought 2 of these, my room is 20m2, difference is noticeable.

When i was recording i put the walls closer to the sound source, recordings sound more articulate ( studio sound), but not dark.

I will get 2 more.
