I recently purchased one of these as I have been reading about them. I wasn't sure if they were a gimmick or not. I think that they do make a difference. You will notice that I have marked 'sound' and 'response' with 4 and not 5 stars, that is because I have only just started to use it and it takes a bit of time to adjust both to the feel, tone and weight difference, it obviously makes the mouthpiece heavier.
