This is an essential tool for any brass teacher who has either individual or large group brass classes. Children always get their mouthpieces stuck by bashing them in to the lead pipe. The Bobcat is an easy to use tool to extract them and is also small and easily stored with my teaching kit. It works on ALL brass instruments and is a very worthwhile investment even if a little pricey to purchase! It has saved numerous bent or broken lead pipes and stays and will continue to do so.

I bought this product for my wife who likes to change mouthpiece during performances. Let’s get the easy part over with first, the product did remove the mouthpiece from her trumpet. However it damaged the plating on its first use. And that’s not what you want no matter how cheap or expensive your instrument is. As it happens my wife plays a silver plated Bach Stradivarius so you can imagine her disgust when the product very noticeably damaged the silver plating on her trumpet on its very first try. She never used it again and I would not recommend it at all.

This is a resonably priced but decent quality puller. It is quite easy to use but effective. I ordered it to remove a stuck mouthpiece from a trumpet, it did this quickly and effectivley. I now have it on hand for the next occasion when I have a stuck mouthpiece!

This is very important because you could otherwise damage the ridge on which the puller is pushing back.
