This product is supposed to be premium, but it lacks smartphone compatibility* and has connectivity issues, even with PC **
*In order to use it with a smartphone, you need to install a button remapper app on the phone to convert PC keystrokes into smartphone functions (volume up/down, play, touch, prev. track).
*When using their proprietary phone app to update the firmware, the unit disconnects via bluetooth, making it bug out & require a restart.
*Their phone app is also poorly done - difficult to use & not displaying updated settings unless you restart the app. The bluetooth also gets buggy when going in & out of the app to test until you restart the whole thing.
** My PC (windows 11) could not detect this device. Good thing I only need it to control phones & tablets, otherwise I would return it.
As for the build quality, the on/off and mode buttons uses a material that does not seem very durable. It's a button underneath a layer of plastic-fabric.
The charging only has one option; DC 9v. Very good concept to incorporate in a pedalboard. But why not also have USB-C so that we can program it via PC or charge it when away from the pedalboard? Perhaps they wanted us to use other models for that kind of usage.
Hope that Airturn can improve their future products. Other page turning pedals are already implementing Press-and-hold features, too.
