Good quality, saves your cables from a lot of stepping on 100%. Has 4 channels with 2 different sizes. Only con is that to connect them to each other when using multiple parts one has to use the cover of the next on to connect to the one before, hence possibly leaving part of the cabling uncovered. Some pre planning can resolve this if using these for mobile use. For fixed use one can easily resolve this by cutting off the excess parts. We use them for office presentations where bulkier bridges would look unsightly, these just blend in to the decor.
... but it does not have that dimensions I thought it would have. If you're in a band and think of buying one of these defenders then you should improvise with some cheap carpet parts or something else to safe your money. I am not sure if i bought it again.
Nevertheless it is well crafted and has enough space for four cables. It doesn't glide because of its rubber surface which also does not get dirty by trampling on it again and again. The protection of your ( up to four ) cables is also secure.
We use these to protect 2x CAT6 and 1x power cable from stage to FoH. Works perfectly, looks neat. It takes more time to assemble (and close) than a yellow jacket, but looks much nicer.
wear-resistant, serve for a very long time, on the street what is needed, in the room they are irreplaceable, can be fastened together when displaced, light enough, easy to use
Ideal for digital snake CAT5 cables, DMX and coax/SDI
Lee3083 01.06.2015
If you've broken the shackles of using an analogue multicore and only have thinner digital cables such as CAT5 for a digital audio multicore, DMX cables and coax/SDI for video then this is an ideal low profile cable defender for going across entrance areas and fire exits. It's been cleverly designed so that multiple units and end blocks can be snapped together, and it tapers down enough that it's very unlikely anyone would manage to trip over the edge. Although pliable, it's much more rigid than some of the rubber ones available and will withstand the cables inside twisting a bit without turning over. Ideal.
