ABM 2504n Bridge

Theese brass ABM-replacement bridges really are the real deal! Been swapping out my orginal Gibson aluminium bridges -to theese now. Drop one of theese on a V, Explorer, SG, Les Paul, 335; -and Your guitar tone is instantly transformed. Basicly theese brass ones; give You that old, stronger, metallic shime -vintage tone in Your instrument.

Theese come with no string grooves. This gives You the opportunity to make -and match your grooves to the string gauge You prefer. Just like the PRO's do!

A PRO installation TIP!
I'm a luthier and instrument roadtech. Getting the grooves right: Just take a spare, un-wound, straight piece of string. Hold that string on the spot of a saddle -where You want Your groove to be. Very gently tap with a small hammer -or the butt end of a bigger screw driver on the string lying over the sadle. NOW You got a groove in the right position. DO NOT do this with the accual strings You are going to use. Leftover string bits cut off when re stringing are straight and perfect for grooving. DO NOT use wound strings for this tapping.

Tappping the slots on the saddles gets You the correct positions on all the individual bridge saddles. You will need string files to file the correct stringagauge. Expecially for the wound strings.

I purchased this for a Les paul custom when converting from Gold to Nickel hardware. A bit on the expensive side, but what can you say? Small company handmade products from solid brass!

Pros:
All around years beyond in quality over the pot metal Nashville that comes on Custom shop guitars!!! worth every penny.

Cons:
None really. But I understand that the price is quite high for this product, but considering what you put it on, I would say it is more than a fair price. Often the difference in price between entry level and "pro" guitars is the hardware quality. This piece is truly the best of the best - I have tried several different brands/materials in the past.
